Mark Hemenway- Varsity Assistant Coach

Mark has coached for over 30 years at various levels including 25 at
the High School level, he will once again oversee all the Hitters in the program this year.
He graduated from Hilhi in 1981 where he was a two
year letter winner and two time all league player playing SS and 2nd
base and was also a member of the 1980 baseball team that lost in a thriller to
Hood River Valley in the bottom of the 7th 5-4. He played
college baseball at Linfield College under the direction of Hilhi and Linfield
legend Ad Rutschman. Coach Hemenway has spoken at countless youth clinics,
coached abroad, attended many college and High school coaching clinics and
conventions all over the USA and coached numerous players that have gone on to
have careers in college and pro baseball, 5 that have gone on to play in the
“bigs”. Coach Hemenway has also has contributed to the youth programs in the
Hillsboro area including a stint as President of Reedville Baseball(youth)
assoc. for several years and led an inspiring group from the community that
built the Ladd Acres baseball complex. Mark has been married to his very
supportive and loving wife Wanda for 30 years. He has four children, Keaton,
Kris, Brandon, and Alisha and 3 grandchildren- Breylin, Aubree and
Kaleb.
